Adventurous, I love a challenge and I love being outdoors and seeing new things.

Layered; what you see is not what you get. There are facets of my character that have to be peeled away to be shown.
Malleable; I let the world shape me everyday into a new human being. I am not the same person with the same ideas as I was yesterday, but I hold on to my values.
Naïve; I don’t know everything. And I’m willing to admit that.

Busy. I’m rarely at home- I dance seven hours a week at two studios. If I’m not at a dance studio, I’m doing other crazy shenanigans. I never stop going.

Domineering. I like to take over and do things my way. If things don’t go the way I think they should, I’ll try my hardest to change it.

Forgetful. Last week my friend had to remind me I was having people over my house for a get together. Need I say more?

Judgmental. I’ll admit it- I judge people on their appearance when I first meet them. And I think everyone else does as well. I don’t think people can help it.

Fortunate:: I have been blessed with an amazing family and great opportunities. This world has a lot of poverty but every night my family had food on the table and I have a warm bed to sleep in.
Girly:: Even though I can act tough at times, I love to dress up in beautiful dresses and go shopping. Playing dress up will never get old.
Happy:: Most of the time I have a good time and can consider myself happy. I enjoy life and love my family and friends.
Ignorant:: Due to my current lifestyle, I feel as though there is so much death and destruction around the world that I am so unaware of. I worry about my problems but compared to the rest of the world, such problems are nothing in comparison.
Jumpy:: I can get extremely anxious. My school work and family can get me stressed out so I get anxious and thus, jumpy.
Knowledgeable:: I love to educate myself and take difficult courses in high school in order to gain as much knowledge as possible.

A: Accepting. I feel I’m very accepting of things that people want to do. I try to live by the motto that: if it’s not affecting me directly, then why judge it.
B: Bratty. I usually won’t start off being bratty, but if pushed to that point, I can be.
C: Creative. I am very creative and always coming up with different ideas for anything I’m doing. Whether it’s on a simple project or on a Leadership event.
D: Diligent. I am very on top of anything I am in charge of and make sure it is completed and perfect.
E: Eager. I’m always ready to be involved in a big project and enjoy a good challenge.
F: Funny. If you ask anyone how they would describe me, “funny” is probably one of the first things they would say. I’m always laughing and joking around.
G: Girly. Although I am not strictly a girly girl because I do like to do sporty things sometimes, for the most part I’d rather be getting my nails done of shopping than playing sports.

Crafty- I am clever and good at making situations fall into place. In the more literal sense, I am also good at arts and crafts!
Determined- When there is a goal I want to accomplish, I always get it done. I’ve always been good at motivating myself to finish what I start and succeed in it (unless it’s math).
Exerciser- I love running and I’m on the track team. I always feel good after I exercise.
Friendly- Unless I get a “bad vibe” from someone, I am always friendly to new people. I’m also paid to be friendly to customers when I go to work at Ralphs.
Godless heathen- My mom cannot get me to go to church and although this bothers her, I cannot disregard my own opinions
Hummus-eating- I love eating hummus. I go home everyday and eat hummus and pita chips as a snack. Indulging in its creamy chickpea goodness is one of my favorite parts of the day.
Intuitive- I am quite intuitive. I can usually tell when something is going to happen or
how someone is feeling after only briefly being exposed to a situation.
Just- I like when things are fair and when justice is served to those who do wrong.
Knowledgeable- Hopefully my 13 years of schooling have rendered me knowledgeable in a semi-wide range of subjects. Not on a scholarly level but at least on an above average one.
Liberal- My political views are fairly strongly to the left. I identify as a liberal on the political spectrum.
Mentor- I try to act as a mentor to my younger sister so that she doesn’t end up being the type of person that would cause the administration to lock the bathrooms on the third floor.
Neurotic- I become easily worried and anxious. I tend to become extensively occupied with things that are causing distress and dwell on them.
Obsessive- I have a decently annoying case of OCD that makes me obsessed with locking doors and hitting light switches. Yeahhh….
Pro-semetic- I have a lot of friends that are Jewish and I love them all and their culture!
Quality – I am a respectable and quality human being!
Realistic- I try to think realistically for the most part so that I do not have excessively unrealistic expectations about things
Sensible- This goes along with realistic. I’m definitely imaginative, but when it comes down to it I don’t try to do anything that I know I won’t be able to pull off.
Tardy – I am often late for the majority of places I am supposed to be. It is a problem I can’t seem to help no matter how I try.
Unique- Technically I guess everyone is unique in someway, so therefore I am unique.
Valuable- I value my life and I’d like to think that others do as well. If no one else, my mom thinks I am valuable too.
Whimsical- At times I can be unusual and surprising. Not always, though.
Xylophone-enthusiast- Not only did I enjoy toy xylophones as a small child, but I still find them to be a charming instrument.
Youthful- I am eighteen years old which is hopefully considered fairly youthful.
Zany- I’m zany!
Amicable: I consider myself a very outgoing and friendly person, and I usually give people the benefit of the doubt before meeting them.
Bizarre: I have what one might consider weird interests, including demography trends in baby name statistics. To an outsider, this could seem bizarre.
Clumsy: I am constantly walking into things, falling down, and dropping things. I’m not exactly an athlete.
Democratic: I’m a fan of democracy and the Democratic Party in general. In fact, I registered as a Democrat before I turned 18.
Enthusiastic!: I’m always interested in future prospects and tend to enter situations with an open mind. I’m constantly talking about how excited I am for an upcoming event.
Friendly: I try to start conversations with people I don’t know when I’m put in uncomfortable situations where everyone’s a stranger.
Groovy: Sometimes I like to channel a 1960s mentality.
Humorous: I like my sense of humor and sometimes can pull out excellent puns.
Involved: The list of activities that I am not involved in is probably shorter than the list of activities that I am involved in. I stay at school for so long that I’m usually one of the first cars in the parking lot in the morning and one of the last ones out.
Jobless: I’m currently unemployed. Anyone hiring?
Knowledgeable: I have a varied range of knowledge that comes in handy during Quiz Bowl Competitions.
Loyal: I try to always be loyal to my friends by keeping the plans I make with them and helping defend them if they’re being challenged.
Mannered: In awkward social situations, I try to be polite and soft-spoken in order to make a good impression.
Non-religious: To some people, religion is important. To me, it isn’t. I was raised in a certain religion and it doesn’t really influence my life at all anymore.
Optimistic: When confronted with a situation, I usually anticipate the best. This can sometimes lead to moderate disappointment, but it’s a healthier attitude than expecting the worst.
Political: I’m a complete politics junkie. I really like following the movements of Congress and the legislators as well as those of the president.
Quixotic: I like to think of myself as quixotic, but I’m not exactly sure how accurate that description would be. Being impulsively romantic would be fun but maybe I’m a little too structured for that.
Relieved: My AP tests are almost over! That is definitely a cause to feel relief.
Scrabble inclined: I am an excellent Scrabble player and often take on the champion of my family, my grandmother. While she almost always beats me, I find it fun to practice.
Tribe member: The mascot for my school next year, the College of William and Mary, is the Tribe. As a student, I am a member of the Tribe.
Upbeat: This goes hand-in-hand with optimism. Rather than dwelling on what’s going bad, I try to focus on what’s going well.
Vocal: I can be pretty outspoken about my thoughts and beliefs. I don’t leave much up to the imagination.
Wacky: When people first meet me, they definitely think my interests are wacky. For example, I can’t name many 18-year-olds that have an affinity for Anderson Cooper.
Xenodochial: This is apparently a synonym for hospitable. Whenever I have guests over, I always offer them food, so I suppose that counts as hospitable.
Young: I am young in the most literal sense of the word. I try to make the most of my youth but sometimes I find myself doing too many “adult” things, like debating tax law or something. Sometimes I have to remind myself to chill out.
Zealous: When I like something, I like it a lot and try to make myself an expert on the subject. IT can be a little overwhelming, but it is how I learn.
A bundle of fun: I would say that I am generally a pretty fun person. I am always up for an adventure!
Boisterous: I’m sure you all know by now that I am very noisy and energetic… I try to be quiet but I really can’t!
Caring: I certainly care for a lot of people
Desperate for lovin’: I once said this phrase to someone, and they never spoke to me again.
Entertaining: I know how to keep a crowd going! Hence the FIRST AP WAVE IN HISTORY WOOOO!
Fragile: Although I appear to be big and tough, I am easily offended by most things. It’s not all smiles all the time.
Girly: I hate sports, mud, and sweat. I am scared of bugs, and love shoes. Hence, I am girly.
Humorous: I find myself to be pretty funny; I like to make people laugh!
Irresistible: I know deep down you all can’t get enough of me!
Jumpy: I am always freaking out and running around about something!
Kings Park hater: I hate Kings Park, and am very happy that I moved to Smithtown!
Lovable: I love to love things, and love to be loved.
Moody: I can go from very happy to very mad in a matter of seconds, so don’t mess with me!
Never gotten detention: I am proud to say throughout my four years of high school, I have never gotten a detention, and am definitely guilty of talking back to teachers multiple times.
Open to new experiences: I am always willing to try new things! I love to make an adventure out of everything!
Polite: I try my hardest to always say my please and thank yous!
Quick-tempered: I tend to overanalyze, and memorizes everything everyone says. I am easily offended by the littlest things. Even though I appear to be happy most of the time, I am known for throwing temper tantrums at home!

Talkative: If most talkative was a senior award, I would have unanimously.
Unique: I am very outgoing and wild, and I feel like a lot of people aren’t like that!
VERY talkative: I really do try not to talk so much but I don’t know how to stop. It might be a disorder, I don’t know yet!
Works hard: It is fourth quarter of senior year and as much as I want to stop doing my homework, I can’t! I can’t help but want to do well!

Yells often: I may have a hearing problem, because I am naturally loud and always yelling at everything!

Agreeable—I get along well with others. I go with the flow, because I’m usually happy doing anything.
Benevolent—I like to help people. I volunteer at a hospital. I want a job in the medical field so I can help people even more.
Careful—I always put great care into the things I’m doing (schoolwork, clarinet, etc.), but I feel like in other aspects of life I am sometimes too careful.
Dumb—I’m book smart, but sometimes I lack common sense.
Enthusiastic—I’m very enthusiastic about the things that excite me. I’m always excited for something, which shows through my cheerful and enthusiastic attitude.
Frugal—I’m always poor, so when I go out I always try to spend as little as possible. But luckily I just got a job!
Girly—I like cute clothes, manicures, and makeup. I love to dress up.

Lethargic—I’m always tired. I take lots of naps.
Musical—Music is my life. I’m a clarinet player, and most of my extracurricular activities revolve around that. I also started singing this year, and I like to mess around on other instruments like piano and sax.
Optimistic—I always look for some sort of hope, even when I’m feeling pretty down. I think it’s more worth your time to have a positive attitude rather than always being pessimistic.
Punctual—I am always on time for things. I think I got that trait from my mom. I get really anxious if I’m running late for something.
Quirky—I think I was born weird. I have a lot of weird habits and traits.
Reserved—I can be very shy around new people, and it takes me a while to open up to people and feel comfortable being my crazy self.

Freezing- The only time I was actually comfortable with the weather was when I went to Las Vegas in August last summer where it was 90+ degrees during the day.

Flighty- I’m kind of everywhere at once. My mind is all over the place, and when I’m hit by ideas I can’t help but shout and start running somewhere or start writing furiously.
Gluttonous- I love me my food. This is my brain's default. This is where my mind goes when it doesn't need to think about anything else.
Hypocrite- I find that I often hate tendencies in people I see in myself.
Impressionable- I am very affected by both the people around me and my setting. It's something that I don't really like because my own person's edges start to blur, but other times I can call it adaptability and say it helps me keep up with change.
Jacked- That’s a lie. I really wish I had some upper body strength, so I could climb some rock walls, but I guess it was not meant to be.
Katie’s sister’s friend- I have a friend named Amanda Skopkowski, and she has a sister named Katie.
Last-Minute- My parents hate this about me. I’m not quite sure why, but I can’t seem to start anything earlier than the day before it’s due. I hate it about me too, but I really can’t. It’s like an awful disease. I’ll tell myself that it’s okay that I have time, and I’ll get it done later. You’d think I’d learn.
Moody- I’m hot then I’m cold. I’m yes then I’m no. I’m in then I’m out. I’m up and I’m down…
Nostalgic- I’m not sure if you’re allowed to use this word to describe someone, but I am often nostalgic.
Obvious- I can’t lie. When I do, it’s pretty obvious.
Perceptive- I think it’s important to watch the way other people behave, to be aware of how others feel and then act appropriately.
Quirky- I like to think I’m special
Resourceful- I think I got this from my mother. Once, I needed glue for a project, and because it was the night before it was due, and it was pretty late, there was no time to run out and buy some, so my mother made me a paste from cooked rice.
Serendipitous- I'd call myself a pretty ridiculously lucky person, but then I wouldn't be able to use the word serendipitous, and it sounds so pretty.
Thriftless- I kind of spend money extremely irresponsibly. I lose most of it to food and then to clothes.
Understanding- I am able, most of the time, to understand why people do things.
Vittles-loving- Yum. One reference to my awesome love of food is not enough.
Wistful- Especially when I’m in some huge gorgeous house, or watch rich people on T.V. going on crazy shopping sprees, I’m quite wistful of their lifestyles.
Xerox-y- I like to make photocopies of things.
Youthful- I don’t think I’ll ever grow up. I was once asked why, as a senior, do I still act like a freshman, and found myself unable to respond.
Zit-hating- Nobody likes zits.
Adventurous- instead of getting a car for graduation I am going skydiving.
Bored- these types of assignments where I need to think of so many words to describe my self bore me to tears. Really. I wanted to think of all advanced or clever words but now there are only hard letters left and I am starving.
Childish- after AP exams instead of leaving school and going home, my friends and I decided to go to Chemistry, order pizza, and play duck duck goose. Fun game.

Emily: (adj). Synonym: Look up or down, there are plenty to chose from.
Friendly- Although I do love the restaurant…sorry, bad joke. Any way, I do think that if I chose to be, I can be friendly, especially if I feel like someone is being ostracized or treated unfairly.
Good? Great? Sorry Mr. Kirchenko! I remember that was on the list of words to never use, ever. I am desperate though. Ah, I could have used that for my D word. Well, to relate to this whole “great thing”, well I would say I am pretty “good” at the flute. Well, at least I would hope considering how much I practice.
Hungry- I am always hungry. It has become a problem I think. I would say one of the most memorable experiences I have had in high school is ordering food at least once a week from patio with my friends who oh so casually stay after school every single day.
Insane= 6 AP Exams senior year. End of story.
Jubilant- did I say that I was so extremely happy to be done with APs? Well I will say it again, and again, and again. WOO!
Knowledgeable- I would hope that I have learned something in all my years of education. Science, Math, Social Studies, English, Music, Spanish…I know things. I am excited to go to college and learn more though.
Languid- I just finished my last AP exam this morning and feel completely drained. After finishing this I am going to sleep. Stupid letter X, I can’t think of anything for you.
Musical- when I was young I used to draw random notes on my Mom’s staff paper and then make my parents listen as I banged on the piano. I always wondered why they cringed…
Nerdy- well I did actually take a slight enjoyment in studying for the SAT. I mean it was neat learning all those new words. Man, I feel the mockery coming! And I am sure everyone has seen those “cool” math team sweatshirts.
Obnoxious- well I do play the piccolo…A B flat about 5 lines about the scale can shatter glass.
Punctual- this is not so much of a characteristic as it is a goal. I usually just show up places unless I really have to be someone by a certain time. For example, ask me to hang out and I probably will come eventually. However, I come super early to all my band concerts. Go Band!
Quiescent- I think that this year I have been over booking myself a little too much. Between applying to a million colleges, the charity show, music…any time I can just relax and do absolutely nothing is greatly valued. I do really love just going to Avalon, finding a rock, and laying down just relaxing.
Reasonable- I would like to think that most of the time I am pretty level headed about what I want to accomplish and what it will take to achieve such goals (see letter U for more)
Sarcastic- I feel I have to warn people to not take what I say too seriously. I should just wear a shirt around that reads “Listen with Caution”.
Trustworthy- above most things, I would say that I am a trustworthy person. Tell me a secret and I’ll not only lock my lips and throw away that key, but I’ll…do something else? I was going to continue with some chemistry related example of melting the key but I used some self-control. Your welcome.
Unreasonable- unfortunately, my goals tend to be a little bit unreasonable. Triple Major? I know. [Insert Laughter Here].
Vapid- Not really me, but this is one of the SAT words that I do remember. I remembered it as “flavorless” and I think I said already that I am starving so…connection?
Witty- I wish. If I was really witty I would be able to think of another good adjective for this letter. Oh well.
Xenial- I think I am pretty hospitable. Well, my cousins housed a German foreign exchange student for six months. We are related. Maybe some of that rubbed off on me. In all honestly, X, really. I am lucky I could think of something that slightly pertained.
Yearning- I do love finding the answers to things. I think that it is why I opt to take so many advanced classing. I enjoy the discussions.
Zealous- you would agree if you saw me at sporting events. I embarrass my family. I think I just get too competitive. I want my teams to win!
Amicable- I’m a remotely friendly and likeable person, until you get to know me better.
Barista- I make the best Latte and steam the best foam, but Kimm makes the best Frappucino, she’s also “da bom” at whip cream.
Cantankerous- T-here’s a large sum of people in our grade that would find this quality in my character.
Darsh- One of the most frequently used words in my vocabulary.
Eugoogoolizer- “One who speaks at funerals, or did you think I was too stupid to know what a Eugoogaly was?” Best quote.
Friendly- I am really easy to talk to.
Greg loves Riccardo- always and forever.
Hungry- If there was a “Senior Most” Award at Senior Banquet for “Most Obsessed with Food 09’” I would have won by a land slide.
Imaginative- I conjure up some interesting things.
Jovial- Unless otherwise, I tend to lighten up the mood.
Kind- I legitimately volunteer.
Laughing- Most likely, unless I'm talking, I'm laughing.
Marble Mocha Macchiato- My least favorite drink to make at Starbucks.
Nut job- This characteristic is best exemplified in seventh period AP Government, when debating with the majority of my class.
Observant- I, for the most part, am always aware of my environment.
Procrastinator- I find any excuse not to do something for school, including chores.
Quaint- I’m simple, and old-fashion with some aspects of my life.
Robust- I leave a mark.
Spontaneous- Although some of my friends will say otherwise, in most situations, I go with the flow. Sometimes I find myself in bad situations, but their worth the good story.
Traveler- (similar to Vagabond) emphasizes my apt for traveling, and desire to travel when I get older.
Unfocused- I can’t get anything done. I don’t have any learning disability (so I've been told), I just can’t get it done.
Vagabond- Although I’m not nomadic, I’ve traveled a multitude of places, and I intend to travel an immense amount as I get older.
Wanderer- I’m never where I’m suppose to be.
