Introduction through Adjectives
Choose at least one adjective for each letter of the alphabet to describe yourself to your audience.Write a brief (no more than two sentences each) explanation for each of your choices.
Adventurous, I love a challenge and I love being outdoors and seeing new things. Bright, I like to think of myself as a intelligent person. Clumsy, I trip over my own two feet, all the time. Difficult, at times I can be very difficult because I think that I know what I want. Easy-going, I like to go with the flow. Fearless, give me a challenge and I will go for it, no matter what it is. Gullible, I will believe anything anyone says which for the most part isn’t good. Helpful, I enjoy helping others and like to see their faces once I help them. Intelligent, I think that I am relatively smart for my age. Jolly, I am happy almost all the time. Kind, I am always there for someone when they need it. Lucky, I tend to have very good luck and win a lot of things. Musical, I love to sing even if no one hears me. Nosy, I like to know a lot of things about peoples business, probably not the best thing. Out-going, I like to meet new people. Polite, I pride myself on knowing my manners and how to act in front of others. Quiet, I am a very quiet person compared to others. Realistic, I understand what I can and can’t do in life and I accept that, yet still dream. Short, I am only 5’3”, I am almost a midget. Thankful, for everything that I have in my life. Unique, I am, just like everyone else, different in my own way. Vengeful, I don’t like to be double crossed and often want to get revenge. Witty, I have a very funny sense of humor, you just have to be able to listen for it. Xcelent, I am great at whatever I do. Young, I am still very much young and enjoying life. Zealous, I am very passionate about anything that I do in life.
Amiable; I start just about every day with a smile on my face. I keep positive and pleasant as often as the world allows me. Bold; trying new things is my keeps my adrenaline going. Careful; I like to think I look before I leap when it matters most, but often times I’m freefalling into the unknown. Daring; I do what I want to do and don’t worry about the consequences immediately. Easygoing; whatever happens happens. I know that the past can’t be changed and that the future is coming no matter what. Free; I live by my own rules. Graceful; Just kidding, I trip over my own feet all the time and it makes me laugh but when I dive I feel like I can express my artistic side through movement. Human; I make mistakes. I like knowing that I am not perfect and that my emotions are what keeps my blood pumping through my veins. Intuitive; often times I feel like I have an understanding of the world around me without a spoken explanation. Just; Life deserves the truth, my actions are guided by what I know is right and fair and I try to life by this as much as I can. Kristin Emily Giffuni; I am my own adjective. When you get beyond the surface each person is truly unique, we’re not snowflakes but individuality is what makes each person tick. Layered; what you see is not what you get. There are facets of my character that have to be peeled away to be shown. Malleable; I let the world shape me everyday into a new human being. I am not the same person with the same ideas as I was yesterday, but I hold on to my values. Naïve; I don’t know everything. And I’m willing to admit that. Outgoing; talking to people I don’t know and generally being social are personality traits that I have. I like being able to make people I don’t know yet smile. Persistent; when I set a goal for myself I work ceaselessly to accomplish it. I know that my efforts will always reap rewards whether in success or the lessons learned from failure. Quiet; I do have a side that is more contemplative than verbal. It is normally more present around my family. Realistic; I take life with a grain of salt. I know what’s out there and, while I am optimistic, I do not let my dreams get the best of me, I know that life doesn’t always work out the way I wanted it to. Sarcastic; I hide behind it a lot. My defense mechanism and my good friend. Trusting; my biggest flaw is that I believe everyone to be a good person. Unreserved; I put it all out there; I don’t sugar-coat who I am. I am open and honest. Vivacious; There’s no denying I’m full of life. Weathered; I’ve been through a lot in my life and while I don’t carry it around like a chip on my shoulders, I’d be lying if I said it didn’t help shape who I am today. X-Nihilist; I used to believe nothing mattered. Obviously that’s not the case anymore. Young; at heart I am full of life and innocence and I love every second of it. Zealous; I am full of life and I bring energy into every aspect of everything I do.
Anxious. I’m always feeling very distressed and uneasy. I am always nervous that something bad is going to happen. Boy crazy! I love boys. Clumsy. I am always knocking into things and falling down. I have more bruises from invisible doors than I have from actually hitting into things. DRAMATIC…just for you =] Emotional. I’m not afraid to show people how I feel. I think it’s okay to cry Fearless. I’m not afraid to take risks and take on new challenges in life. I’m willing to try anything at any time in any place. Grumpy, but only in the morning. High maintenance…so I’ve been told. Imperfect…as much as I want to be perfect, I never will be. Jumpy. I am always nervous with fear or excitement. I jump when a door slams in my house…weird. Kindhearted. I am a very sympathetic person towards others. I try to show kindness wherever I am. Loving. I love loving people and I love being loved. Melodic. I’m a singer. I love sweet melodious sounds. Nervous. Before I go on stage and perform, I get so nervous that I tunnel vision! AHHH Optimistic. Overall, I’m a pretty happy person. I like to look at the glass half full instead of half empty. Peachy-keen, jelly bean. I use this in my every day vocabulary. When someone asks me how I’m feeling this is what I’ll say, because overall, I’m normally just fine. Quixotic. I am romantic and believe that fantasies can come true. Romantic. I am a hopeless romantic. I can’t wait to find the perfect man to fall in love with and spend the rest of my life with him. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious…sometimes I don’t know how to describe myself, so I’ll just use this word because it can mean anything I want it to. This is the adjective that describes me the best. Trustworthy. People can trust me with anything. I’m a really good secret keeper and I know that people can count on me. Upbeat. I’m peppy and very positive. I love lifting people up if they’re having a bad day. Vivacious. I’m full of life and always willing to have a good time. Warm. As much as my body temperature is always cold, I think I can safely say that I’m a warm person on the inside because Xenophobic. I hate people from foreign countries…just kidding it was the only x adjective that I could think of! Youthful. As much as I want to grow up, I still have child-like qualities. Zany. I’m crazy.
Affectionate -I show how I feel. Bright – I'm smart, and I like spreading happiness. Calm – I remain levelheaded in all situations (usually). I am quiet most of the time. Determined – I put all of myself into everything I do. I don’t quit until I follow through all the way. Earnest -I show depth and sincerity in my emotions and feelings Faithful – My faith is important to me, and I also have faith in other people. Grateful – I am thankful for everything I have in my life Happy – I love to smile and laugh. Inquisitive/Indecisive – I like to know the reason behind things. I am absolutely awful at making decisions. It takes me forever. Joyous – I like to be happy and to make other people happy. Kind – I’m nice to everyone. Loyal – I am true to all of my friends, and to everyone in my life. Musical - I couldn't live without music. I think there is a song for everything and - ask my friends- I LOVE to sing. Nerdy- Im smart, and proud of it. I'm that person who brings up the educational side of something simple. Open - I enjoy new experienes and ideas. I don't judge. Peaceful - I enjoy peace and quiet. I'm also not one to argue. Quiet - I'm apparently quiet when I speak. Rational - I think its important to think of all the possible consequences before making decisions. Strong - Kristin tells me I am. Trustworthy - I can keep a secret. I'm always there for my friends. Understanding - I like to listen, and I'm good at seeing every side of a situation. Vibrant - I'm full of energy and happiness. Weird - We're all weird. xenophilic- I haved an interest in new things and people Youthful - I like being young and taking advantage of all I am able to do and experience at my age. Zany - I like to be crazy and funny with my friends.
Adventurous – I like to be out of my element and explore new things. Blue-eyed – I got my blue eyes from my dad and I like that I resemble him. Charismatic – I always think the best of people at first glance. I am nice and charming. Doubtful – I never know what I want and always question myself. Effervescent – I have a lot of energy and always bubbly when I am with my friends. Faithful – I am faithful and true to myself. I respect my body. Giving – I want to give to those who are in need. Helpful – I love to help my mom around the house with chores and picking up my brother. Also I like to help others such as my peers and the community. Intelligent – I work hard in school and I am smart with whatever choices I make in my life. Joyous – I always try to be positive and happy with everything I do in my life. Kind – I try to be nice and sweet to everyone besides the people I know. Loving – I am very amiable and caring. Sometimes this attachment can be a flaw. Maternal – Surprisingly, when it comes to my brother, I am very motherly and always smothering him to make sure he is ok. Nutritious – I have created a new healthy lifestyle for myself and I love it. I want to help my family become healthier too. Optimistic – My future is not planned out but I am optimistic about my life and choices. Polite – My parents taught me to always be respectful and have manners. Quick – I am usually quick to pick up knew tasks. Excluding school, I usually grasp concepts with sports and putting things together. Relevant – I am connected with what is happening in the present. Sincere – When I say something, I mean it and I will always be honest with you. Thankful – I am thankful for my family and the great life my parents have given me. Unique – I am the person who I want to be. My talents and achievements make me unique. Vibrant – I am energetic, exciting and full of enthusiasm Warm – I try to be kind to my peers and family. I want them to be able to talk to me about anything. Xerophilous – I much prefer to be in a hot climate like the summer rather then the freezing cold in the winter. Youthful – I am very active and always on the go. My energy keeps me going. Zany – I am crazy in a fun and funny way.
Aware. Even though it seems like I space out a lot, I always pay attention to what’s going on around me.
Busy. I’m rarely at home- I dance seven hours a week at two studios. If I’m not at a dance studio, I’m doing other crazy shenanigans. I never stop going.
Capricious. The majority of my actions occur on a whim- I don’t think before I do.
Domineering. I like to take over and do things my way. If things don’t go the way I think they should, I’ll try my hardest to change it.
Earthy. I’m not sophisticated. I go with the flow.
Forgetful. Last week my friend had to remind me I was having people over my house for a get together. Need I say more?
Gullible. I believe almost everything I hear…even though I start to doubt it and get paranoid.
Honest. Ask for my opinion, and you’ll get it. And if you don’t like it, that’s too bad.
Imaginative. I daydream a lot, and make up crazy scenarios in my head! They’re pretty good conversation starters :]
Judgmental. I’ll admit it- I judge people on their appearance when I first meet them. And I think everyone else does as well. I don’t think people can help it.
Klumsy. I trip over my feet 24/7, I trip going UP stairs, and I walk into things like it’s going out of style.
Lucky. I have received more than I think I deserve. I got into my dream college, and I don’t know how- I worked for it, but not enough. I am beyond thankful for everything in my life.
Maternal. My friends always say I’m going to be the mom that forgets to feed their kids, but I have a “parental” side to me. I care a lot about people and their well-being.
Nostalgic. I’m beyond excited for college, but I know I’m going to get homesick after a few days. I’m not the best to adapting to change.
Obnoxious. If I’m in good friends company, I go crazy. I’m the friend that yells obscene comments out the window of the car when people walk by.
Paradoxical. Just look at domineering and earthy- I make things my way, but I go with the flow? Yeah. I change my opinions 24/7. I’m just one big contradiction :] Quirky. I have certain habits (like having the volume on the radio on an even number, or color coding my closet,) that I just can’t shake.
Reminiscent. I’m always the first person to say “Remember when…” in a conversation. I cherish my memories.
Sleepy. I used to think I was nocturnal because I never slept. Now, I hate coming home late because then I miss out on good sleeping time.
Talkative. When I’m with my friends, I never stop talking. I will bring up the most random topics that will keep up a good conversation.
Uptight. I’m progressive, but there’s some traditions I don’t want to cease. I guess I’m kind of high-maintenance as well.
Vivacious. I’m full of life, and I can’t get enough of it.
Worrisome. I always think of the worst scenarios in every situation. I get worried over everything.
Xtreme. If I’m not procrastinating on a task (which I almost always am), I give it my all.
Youthful. I’m growing up, but I’ll always be a kid at heart. I love running so fast that I feel like my legs are going to fall off, or popping bubbles when they pass by.
Athletic:: I love to run and work out. If I don’t, I feel sluggish and lethargic. Boastful:: Obviously, due to this assignment, I felt as though I was being boastful. Comical:: I love to joke around and get a good laugh out of anyone. I feel as though laughter is the key to happiness, as corny as that sounds. Determined:: In school I have always been determined to get good grades. I have strived to do the best I can so that I can succeed in life and attend to my number one college. Emotional:: I wear my emotions on my sleeve. If I am upset or happy or even bored, you’ll know it. Words heavily affect me and I cannot help but get upset when someone is mean. Fortunate:: I have been blessed with an amazing family and great opportunities. This world has a lot of poverty but every night my family had food on the table and I have a warm bed to sleep in. Girly:: Even though I can act tough at times, I love to dress up in beautiful dresses and go shopping. Playing dress up will never get old. Happy:: Most of the time I have a good time and can consider myself happy. I enjoy life and love my family and friends. Ignorant:: Due to my current lifestyle, I feel as though there is so much death and destruction around the world that I am so unaware of. I worry about my problems but compared to the rest of the world, such problems are nothing in comparison. Jumpy:: I can get extremely anxious. My school work and family can get me stressed out so I get anxious and thus, jumpy. Knowledgeable:: I love to educate myself and take difficult courses in high school in order to gain as much knowledge as possible. Loving:: I care a lot about my friends and family. I love them to death and would do anything for them. Mellow:: After being stressed out about school and other issues, I love to chill out and relax. I can become extremely mellow by reading or running. Nerdy:: I am constantly stressed over getting good grades and most of the time when I am at home studying I have a million textbooks surrounding me. Optimistic:: I hope for the best and believe that everything will turn out wonderful at the end of every situation. Personable:: I love to meet new people and can begin a conversation with a stranger over anything. Quirky:: I will randomly do the most random things. I completely march to the beat of my own drum. Rebellious:: I can’t stand authority. When I am forced to do something I will most likely do something else that will wind up making my parents angry. Sensitive:: Although the saying is; Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me, I could never fully grasp the idea of this saying. When someone does says something hurtful about me, it is very difficult for me not to get upset. Tough:: I love to act tough and joke around with my friends as if I can totally beat them up. Unique:: There is no one else like me. Vivacious:: I’m extremely lively. I love to joke around and take on as much as I possible can. Wild:: I am a Wild Child. I can be extremely outrageous at times Xanthocomic:: This word actually describes someone will blonde hair, which is one of the top three things my friends make fun of me for. Youthful:: I am full of energy and love to take advantage of the fact that I am still not eighteen and can get away with a lot. Zealous:: I try to get things done and accomplish a lot during a short period of time. I have a great desire to be diligent and get tasks done.
Awkward: Yes, yes I am. Barbarous: I like human torture movies. Cynical: I say whatever comes to mind, it’s pretty bad that I forget the human race actually has feelings. Devious: Oh I am one prankster. I have many items and skills to trick people with. Exotic: So I am unusual and I am not from the U.S, I guess that defines how I am exotic. Fearless: Have no fear, Yosita is here! Goofy: I like the character too. Heartless: Kanye told me this. Imperfect: I’m not perfect, and I believe that perfectionism does not exist. It is a basic illusion created by society that I am out to destroy. Juvenile: Someday...no just kidding I avoid trouble. Kool: I try. Ludicrous: My eighth grade teacher told me I was and I concur. Mysterious: You will never know the real me. Naïve: I’m also very gullible too. One time my mother told me she met Clay Aiken at Costco and I believed her – but he was never there. Obsessed with Llamas: Let’s count how many llama items I have: 1,2,3,4,5….32453465755476. Patient: At times but I have to say that I've become more patient over the years. Querulous: I tend to complain a lot, at times for no reason. Rides Ostriches: My Halloween costume defines it all. Silly Goose: I’m silly and I laugh at silly things. Thankful: I am grateful for everything I have. Unbiased: I don’t like to judge or talk about others. Vulgar: Sometimes. Weird: If only you knew my obsessions, besides the one with llamas. Xtremely Indecisive: I can never make up my mind. Youthful: I don’t want to grow up. Zany: They call me…LOCO.
A- Adventurous I like doing new and fun things, usually not planned before doing them. You only live once.
B- Bombastic I try to be as obnoxious as possible in certain situations. I probably overdo it a lot. Sorry.
C- Cheesy I often make awful, awful jokes and think corny things are cool. It’s a sad life.
D- Dynamic I try to change my emotion and personality at a whim. It keeps people on their toes.
E- Emotional I weep like a little girl when I listen to certain music. Just kidding. Seriously.
F- Fanatical Oftentimes, I will be seen screaming and yelling hysterically at situations that don’t call for it. It’s for humor’s sake.
G- Gray It’s my last name, so I’m kind of cheating. But I try to stay chilled out.
H- Hilarious Nah, just kidding. My ego can’t cash that check.
I- Irrelevant The funniest thing in the world to me is something that doesn’t make any sense, and I try to make about thirty irrelevant comments a day. Once again, sorry.
J- Jittery If someone sneaks up behind me, I will jump. Like a four year old girl.
K- Knowledgeable Just ask me any random trivia question that has no relevance to the world. I dare you.
L- Lethargic I sleep like 17 hours a day, like some freakish cat-boy. I’m a fan of the sleep.
M- Magnanimous I am kind, good-hearted, and overly forgiving. I am also a ridiculous unnecessary word.
N- Nappy I used to have dreadlocks and long curly hair; I have my license to prove it. If I joined a basketball team, Don Imus would belittle me.
O- Obsessive When I eat peanut butter, I only scrape it out of half the jar, and then start from the bottom up on the other side, so that at least half the jar remains perfect. If I could explain it, I would.
P- Patient I am so overly patient with people that it’s borderline just wrong. I’m going to try to make a career out of that.
Q- Quirky You read the peanut butter thing; I don’t need an explanation for this one. But seriously, half the peanut butter should remain perfect and untouched.
R- Ridiculous I own a green, skin tight spandex costume and I dance in public with it on. Checkmate.
S- Salty I was once a pirate. I stormed the seven seas in search of booty and wenches. They call me P-Doubloon, the saltiest sea dog this side of Tijuana.
T- Tranquil My favorite thing in the world is peace and quiet, whether it’s alone, or within the company of those I love. Oh crap, that wasn’t a joke.
U- Unreasonable Rationalization is not my strong point. I go by whim and whim alone.
V- Vicarious I live through other people as much as I can. And there’s this really cool song called Vicarious Atonement that’s stuck in my head, so this made up answer is what you would call cathartic.
W- Wiggity-Wack If ever two words described me, these two would be them.
X- Xanadoic The thing that could describe me best is a weird movie from 1980 starring Olivia Newton-John as a Greek muse. It featured roller disco.
Y- Yargle I couldn’t find a good adjective for y, so I made one up. Score one for the home team. Z- Zealous When I find something I enjoy, I really dive into it as much as I can.
A: Accepting. I feel I’m very accepting of things that people want to do. I try to live by the motto that: if it’s not affecting me directly, then why judge it.
B: Bratty. I usually won’t start off being bratty, but if pushed to that point, I can be.
C: Creative. I am very creative and always coming up with different ideas for anything I’m doing. Whether it’s on a simple project or on a Leadership event.
D: Diligent. I am very on top of anything I am in charge of and make sure it is completed and perfect.
E: Eager. I’m always ready to be involved in a big project and enjoy a good challenge.
F: Funny. If you ask anyone how they would describe me, “funny” is probably one of the first things they would say. I’m always laughing and joking around.
G: Girly. Although I am not strictly a girly girl because I do like to do sporty things sometimes, for the most part I’d rather be getting my nails done of shopping than playing sports.
H: Honest. I am always honest. I feel that making tangle webs of lies only causes constant drama.
I: Intelligent. I am very smart. I’ve always gotten good grades and got a large scholarship to college.
J: Joyful. I try to stay in good spirits and be happy. It’s easier to be happy than sad.
K: Kindhearted. I am very kind and always find myself helping someone in some way.
L: Loud. Loud might be an understatement because everyone who knows me knows that I make sure I get my point across.
M: Mindful. I am very alert of my surroundings and of the people in them. I can usually tell a lot about a person from the first time I meet them and rarely get fooled by anyone.
N: Noble. My friends are always coming to me for advice on different issues.
O: Old-fashion. Sometimes I can be old-fashion and think that staying true to your morals is very important.
P: Precise. I am very precise about the things I do. I like when they are completed successful.
Q: Questioning. I am always curious about new things and even old things. I am always asking for more information because I like to know the real facts about what I’m taking about.
R: Realistic. I am usually the friend in my group that has to bring everyone back to reality. Sometimes we all find ourselves living in a little fantasy world, but it’s important to remember what’s really going on.
S: Sympathetic. I am extremely sympathetic and try to put myself in someone else’s shoes before getting angry or making a scene with them.
T: Trustworthy. All of my friends know that they can tell me anything and I will help them to the best of my ability while keeping their privacy.
U: Unique. I would say I am a very unique person. I am never really concerned about what other people think about the clothes I want to wear or the things I want to do. I do things my own way.
V: Vivacious. I am very animated and really passionate about anything I’m involved in.
W: Witty. You can always count on me for a witty comment. I can’t resist!
X: X-treme. Sometimes I am too extreme. When I love something, I feel like I love it too much. And when I dislike something, I get really stuck on it and won’t be willing to try it again.
Y: Youthful. I would say I am youthful because I like to have fun and remember that I am only a kid once.
Z: Zealous. I feel I am zealous because I am very full of character and enthusiastic all the time.
A-ambiguous I never sure what I want. B-boring I am quite predictable. C- Careless I don’t think before doing things. D-Difficult I never know what I want, so I can’t decide things. E- Equal I try to treat fairly F-foolish I don’t think much and have little commonsense. G-Greg-Lover I love Greg Brodie. Period. H-hungry Food is good. Enough said. I-inquisitive I like asking questions. J-jittery I stutter a lot and am always quite nervous. K-Kind Couldn’t think of anything else… I try to be at least. L-lazy I am not a fan of doing labor. M-meek I’m patient. N- Neatless I can be quite messy. O-Open-minded I am open for anything. P-puzzling I am quite inconsistent in behavior. Q-quiet I am usually not talkative. R-Realistic I know what I can and can’t do. S-Simplistic I’m simple. T-Tired I’m always tired. U-Unique I think I’m one of a kind. V-Vast There are so many different mes. W-Wishful Wishing is fun. I wish I had cake. X- Xrateristic Made up a word. Let’s says it means that I have red hair. Y-youthful I am physically young I hope. Z-Zenoical Made up another word from Zeno who made Zeno’s paradox. I seem to contradict myself a lot. Walt Whitman and I BFFs.
Aspiring: I have a very clear set of goals in life, and I am determined to see them through.
Bold: Behind what may appear, I am able to forge through difficult situations without much concern for negative consequences.
Candid: I rarely withhold my opinion on issues, especially when people ask for my opinion. When people want an honest opinion, they usually come to me.
Determined: I won’t let anything get in the way of what I am trying to achieve on a given day.
Economical: I am very concerned with finance and spend as little as I can and save as much as I can.
Food: I love eating more than should be allowed, but the only problem is that my favorite foods tend to be expensive.
Goofy: I have a very slapstick sense of humor, and am always attempting to make a joke out of anything, seeing what sticks.
Healthy: I don’t like sugary stuff or too much salt in my food, and I’m physically fit I guess?
Insightful: I see original solutions to old problems, and my analytical ability in social situations is a valuable asset when dealing with people.
Jittery: My hands often shake, and I’m always fiddling with something and not paying attention to it.
Kind: I’m generally a nice person.
Lazy: Working hard for minimal return is not really my thing.
Mellow: I never have too much to contribute to a large conversation, whatever may be going on in my head; I prefer to remain silent on issues unless I have a rock-solid feeling on them, leading me to appear quiet and reserved.
Nonchalant: I tend to take few things seriously, and a relaxed approach to life works for me.
Optimistic: I always believe that no matter what, things will always come out right.
Philosophical: Due to a religious upbringing and a high interest in the human condition in the universe, I have evolved into a social philosophy nightmare, always analyzing why a person acts the way they do.
Quirky: I enjoy not being normal.
Reserved: My opinions, though rarely kept to myself, are always well thought out and very clear because I rarely jump to conclusions.
Sympathetic: I rarely judge anyone based on anything other than their personality and their actions.
Tough: I handle myself well in difficult situations and I know how to react to contention.
Urban: I enjoy the fast pace of city life, and plan on living in the city in the future.
Vicarious: I love being alive and watch others being alive. I live through all of my friends and family, feeling joy in their joy, and gaining motivation and spirit through them.
Willful: Based in reality, living somewhere beyond it, and trying to make sense of it all has given me a powerful sense of will where I can’t help but attempt to shape my circumstances and actions to fit my idea of how things should be
X-acting: A bit of a freak when it comes to certain issues not being perfectly correct.
Young: I’m not even allowed to buy lotto tickets yet.
Zealous: I have a zeal for life which rivals most puppies.
Artistic- I enjoy expressing my creativity in a plethora of mediums and I am generally fairly successful
Benevolent- I am essentially kind-hearted and want the best for everyone. My actions hold no malice.
Crafty- I am clever and good at making situations fall into place. In the more literal sense, I am also good at arts and crafts!
Determined- When there is a goal I want to accomplish, I always get it done. I’ve always been good at motivating myself to finish what I start and succeed in it (unless it’s math).
Exerciser- I love running and I’m on the track team. I always feel good after I exercise.
Friendly- Unless I get a “bad vibe” from someone, I am always friendly to new people. I’m also paid to be friendly to customers when I go to work at Ralphs.
Godless heathen- My mom cannot get me to go to church and although this bothers her, I cannot disregard my own opinions
Hummus-eating- I love eating hummus. I go home everyday and eat hummus and pita chips as a snack. Indulging in its creamy chickpea goodness is one of my favorite parts of the day.
Intuitive- I am quite intuitive. I can usually tell when something is going to happen or how someone is feeling after only briefly being exposed to a situation.
Just- I like when things are fair and when justice is served to those who do wrong.
Knowledgeable- Hopefully my 13 years of schooling have rendered me knowledgeable in a semi-wide range of subjects. Not on a scholarly level but at least on an above average one.
Liberal- My political views are fairly strongly to the left. I identify as a liberal on the political spectrum.
Mentor- I try to act as a mentor to my younger sister so that she doesn’t end up being the type of person that would cause the administration to lock the bathrooms on the third floor.
Neurotic- I become easily worried and anxious. I tend to become extensively occupied with things that are causing distress and dwell on them.
Obsessive- I have a decently annoying case of OCD that makes me obsessed with locking doors and hitting light switches. Yeahhh….
Pro-semetic- I have a lot of friends that are Jewish and I love them all and their culture!
Quality – I am a respectable and quality human being!
Realistic- I try to think realistically for the most part so that I do not have excessively unrealistic expectations about things
Sensible- This goes along with realistic. I’m definitely imaginative, but when it comes down to it I don’t try to do anything that I know I won’t be able to pull off.
Tardy – I am often late for the majority of places I am supposed to be. It is a problem I can’t seem to help no matter how I try.
Unique- Technically I guess everyone is unique in someway, so therefore I am unique.
Valuable- I value my life and I’d like to think that others do as well. If no one else, my mom thinks I am valuable too.
Whimsical- At times I can be unusual and surprising. Not always, though.
Xylophone-enthusiast- Not only did I enjoy toy xylophones as a small child, but I still find them to be a charming instrument.
Youthful- I am eighteen years old which is hopefully considered fairly youthful.
Amicable: I consider myself a very outgoing and friendly person, and I usually give people the benefit of the doubt before meeting them. Bizarre: I have what one might consider weird interests, including demography trends in baby name statistics. To an outsider, this could seem bizarre. Clumsy: I am constantly walking into things, falling down, and dropping things. I’m not exactly an athlete. Democratic: I’m a fan of democracy and the Democratic Party in general. In fact, I registered as a Democrat before I turned 18. Enthusiastic!: I’m always interested in future prospects and tend to enter situations with an open mind. I’m constantly talking about how excited I am for an upcoming event. Friendly: I try to start conversations with people I don’t know when I’m put in uncomfortable situations where everyone’s a stranger. Groovy: Sometimes I like to channel a 1960s mentality. Humorous: I like my sense of humor and sometimes can pull out excellent puns. Involved: The list of activities that I am not involved in is probably shorter than the list of activities that I am involved in. I stay at school for so long that I’m usually one of the first cars in the parking lot in the morning and one of the last ones out. Jobless: I’m currently unemployed. Anyone hiring? Knowledgeable: I have a varied range of knowledge that comes in handy during Quiz Bowl Competitions. Loyal: I try to always be loyal to my friends by keeping the plans I make with them and helping defend them if they’re being challenged. Mannered: In awkward social situations, I try to be polite and soft-spoken in order to make a good impression. Non-religious: To some people, religion is important. To me, it isn’t. I was raised in a certain religion and it doesn’t really influence my life at all anymore. Optimistic: When confronted with a situation, I usually anticipate the best. This can sometimes lead to moderate disappointment, but it’s a healthier attitude than expecting the worst. Political: I’m a complete politics junkie. I really like following the movements of Congress and the legislators as well as those of the president. Quixotic: I like to think of myself as quixotic, but I’m not exactly sure how accurate that description would be. Being impulsively romantic would be fun but maybe I’m a little too structured for that. Relieved: My AP tests are almost over! That is definitely a cause to feel relief. Scrabble inclined: I am an excellent Scrabble player and often take on the champion of my family, my grandmother. While she almost always beats me, I find it fun to practice. Tribe member: The mascot for my school next year, the College of William and Mary, is the Tribe. As a student, I am a member of the Tribe. Upbeat: This goes hand-in-hand with optimism. Rather than dwelling on what’s going bad, I try to focus on what’s going well. Vocal: I can be pretty outspoken about my thoughts and beliefs. I don’t leave much up to the imagination. Wacky: When people first meet me, they definitely think my interests are wacky. For example, I can’t name many 18-year-olds that have an affinity for Anderson Cooper. Xenodochial: This is apparently a synonym for hospitable. Whenever I have guests over, I always offer them food, so I suppose that counts as hospitable. Young: I am young in the most literal sense of the word. I try to make the most of my youth but sometimes I find myself doing too many “adult” things, like debating tax law or something. Sometimes I have to remind myself to chill out. Zealous: When I like something, I like it a lot and try to make myself an expert on the subject. IT can be a little overwhelming, but it is how I learn.
A bundle of fun: I would say that I am generally a pretty fun person. I am always up for an adventure!
Boisterous: I’m sure you all know by now that I am very noisy and energetic… I try to be quiet but I really can’t!

Fragile: Although I appear to be big and tough, I am easily offended by most things. It’s not all smiles all the time.
Girly: I hate sports, mud, and sweat. I am scared of bugs, and love shoes. Hence, I am girly.
Humorous: I find myself to be pretty funny; I like to make people laugh!
Irresistible: I know deep down you all can’t get enough of me!
Jumpy: I am always freaking out and running around about something!
Kings Park hater: I hate Kings Park, and am very happy that I moved to Smithtown!
Lovable: I love to love things, and love to be loved.
Moody: I can go from very happy to very mad in a matter of seconds, so don’t mess with me!
Never gotten detention: I am proud to say throughout my four years of high school, I have never gotten a detention, and am definitely guilty of talking back to teachers multiple times.
Open to new experiences: I am always willing to try new things! I love to make an adventure out of everything! Polite: I try my hardest to always say my please and thank yous!
Quick-tempered: I tend to overanalyze, and memorizes everything everyone says. I am easily offended by the littlest things. Even though I appear to be happy most of the time, I am known for throwing temper tantrums at home!

Unique: I am very outgoing and wild, and I feel like a lot of people aren’t like that!

Works hard: It is fourth quarter of senior year and as much as I want to stop doing my homework, I can’t! I can’t help but want to do well!

Yells often: I may have a hearing problem, because I am naturally loud and always yelling at everything!

Agreeable—I get along well with others. I go with the flow, because I’m usually happy doing anything. Benevolent—I like to help people. I volunteer at a hospital. I want a job in the medical field so I can help people even more. Careful—I always put great care into the things I’m doing (schoolwork, clarinet, etc.), but I feel like in other aspects of life I am sometimes too careful. Dumb—I’m book smart, but sometimes I lack common sense. Enthusiastic—I’m very enthusiastic about the things that excite me. I’m always excited for something, which shows through my cheerful and enthusiastic attitude. Frugal—I’m always poor, so when I go out I always try to spend as little as possible. But luckily I just got a job! Girly—I like cute clothes, manicures, and makeup. I love to dress up. Hard-working—I always put a lot of effort into the things I do. Intelligent—Well, I did make it through AP Lit, didn’t I? As well as AP Chem and AP Calc BC… Jumpy—I can’t watch scary movies, because I go nuts. Loud noises and sudden surprises make me very jumpy. Katie’s sister—That’s me! Many of people know the both of us, but there are some who just know me as “Katie’s sister.” Lethargic—I’m always tired. I take lots of naps. Musical—Music is my life. I’m a clarinet player, and most of my extracurricular activities revolve around that. I also started singing this year, and I like to mess around on other instruments like piano and sax. Optimistic—I always look for some sort of hope, even when I’m feeling pretty down. I think it’s more worth your time to have a positive attitude rather than always being pessimistic. Punctual—I am always on time for things. I think I got that trait from my mom. I get really anxious if I’m running late for something. Quirky—I think I was born weird. I have a lot of weird habits and traits. Reserved—I can be very shy around new people, and it takes me a while to open up to people and feel comfortable being my crazy self. Sensible—I tend to think things out and seldom make rash decisions. I never do anything too crazy or out there. Trustworthy—People can always talk to me if they have a problem because they know they can trust me with their issues. And that always makes me feel good. Understanding—I’m very accepting of others and their situations, and I try not to judge. Vivacious—Though it doesn’t always show, when I’m in a good mood I can be quite lively and animated. Witty—I’m actually really not sure I’m all that witty, but Diane thinks I am. X-ray—I feel like I can see through fake people, which is why I don’t really bother with them. Youthful—I’m eighteen, but I still act like a kid. It’s fun, and I want to enjoy acting like a kid while I still can. Zany—I’m nuts. Why live life otherwise?
Anxious- Anxiety attacks are the worst. Busy- I never have a free minute between school, youth group, work and college. There are never enough hours in the day. Childish- I work at build a bear….. Enough said. But honestly I still color and anytime I see a playground I freak, it’s my weakness. Decorous- All I can say is proper manners are simply a must in any situation to me. Entertaining- My life should be a TV show. Freezing- The only time I was actually comfortable with the weather was when I went to Las Vegas in August last summer where it was 90+ degrees during the day. Groovy- I drive a hippie van and my family believes I was born in the wrong time period. Hungry- I love food and eat constantly. According to my friends I am “always eating.” Incandescent- I put a lot of passion into any activity I am involved with. Jealous- I have a tendency to get jealous very easily. Kindhearted- I serve as a youthleader at my church and I give the students positive advice whenever they need it. Lethal- I’m usually not very competitive but on the rare occasions that I am, I should not be underestimated. Modest- I really don’t like talking about myself, even if it is about healthy characteristics. Nervous- I constantly worry about things. Outrageous- I have my moments of craziness. Perfectionist- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder has its perks. Quixotic- I am very impulsive and don’t always think things through. Religious- In our church’s past Station of the Cross I had the honor of playing the part of the Blessed Mother. I’m a youth leader and have been active in youth group since the beginning of 9th grade. Skeptical- I’m usually doubtful of things at first but have faith and accept whatever it is in the end. Tiny- I hate shopping. Its impossible to find my size. Uneven- Even though I hate it, I always feel uneven or unbalanced. Vulgar- It runs in the family and usually corresponds with a long rant about nothing. Working- I am hardworking and very driven in all my activities. Xenophobic- I am terrified of the unknown… which involves the future and the dark. Young- I have a lot of energy and I enjoy my adolescence. Zonked- I have a tendency to overwork myself and I’m always exhausted.
Absentminded- I used to forget my backpack to school. No joke. Band-Geek- Need I elaborate? Contemplative- I like thinking about things: themes in books, people and their tendencies, my future and my past, my relationship with other people...things. Defensive- If I feel at all threatened Expressive- I like to write, draw, paint, sing, and talk. Flighty- I’m kind of everywhere at once. My mind is all over the place, and when I’m hit by ideas I can’t help but shout and start running somewhere or start writing furiously. Gluttonous- I love me my food. This is my brain's default. This is where my mind goes when it doesn't need to think about anything else. Hypocrite- I find that I often hate tendencies in people I see in myself. Impressionable- I am very affected by both the people around me and my setting. It's something that I don't really like because my own person's edges start to blur, but other times I can call it adaptability and say it helps me keep up with change. Jacked- That’s a lie. I really wish I had some upper body strength, so I could climb some rock walls, but I guess it was not meant to be. Katie’s sister’s friend- I have a friend named Amanda Skopkowski, and she has a sister named Katie. Last-Minute- My parents hate this about me. I’m not quite sure why, but I can’t seem to start anything earlier than the day before it’s due. I hate it about me too, but I really can’t. It’s like an awful disease. I’ll tell myself that it’s okay that I have time, and I’ll get it done later. You’d think I’d learn. Moody- I’m hot then I’m cold. I’m yes then I’m no. I’m in then I’m out. I’m up and I’m down… Nostalgic- I’m not sure if you’re allowed to use this word to describe someone, but I am often nostalgic. Obvious- I can’t lie. When I do, it’s pretty obvious. Perceptive- I think it’s important to watch the way other people behave, to be aware of how others feel and then act appropriately. Quirky- I like to think I’m special Resourceful- I think I got this from my mother. Once, I needed glue for a project, and because it was the night before it was due, and it was pretty late, there was no time to run out and buy some, so my mother made me a paste from cooked rice. Serendipitous- I'd call myself a pretty ridiculously lucky person, but then I wouldn't be able to use the word serendipitous, and it sounds so pretty. Thriftless- I kind of spend money extremely irresponsibly. I lose most of it to food and then to clothes. Understanding- I am able, most of the time, to understand why people do things. Vittles-loving- Yum. One reference to my awesome love of food is not enough. Wistful- Especially when I’m in some huge gorgeous house, or watch rich people on T.V. going on crazy shopping sprees, I’m quite wistful of their lifestyles. Xerox-y- I like to make photocopies of things. Youthful- I don’t think I’ll ever grow up. I was once asked why, as a senior, do I still act like a freshman, and found myself unable to respond. Zit-hating- Nobody likes zits.
Adventurous- instead of getting a car for graduation I am going skydiving. Bored- these types of assignments where I need to think of so many words to describe my self bore me to tears. Really. I wanted to think of all advanced or clever words but now there are only hard letters left and I am starving. Childish- after AP exams instead of leaving school and going home, my friends and I decided to go to Chemistry, order pizza, and play duck duck goose. Fun game. Daring- redirectà see adventurous Emily: (adj). Synonym: Look up or down, there are plenty to chose from. Friendly- Although I do love the restaurant…sorry, bad joke. Any way, I do think that if I chose to be, I can be friendly, especially if I feel like someone is being ostracized or treated unfairly. Good? Great? Sorry Mr. Kirchenko! I remember that was on the list of words to never use, ever. I am desperate though. Ah, I could have used that for my D word. Well, to relate to this whole “great thing”, well I would say I am pretty “good” at the flute. Well, at least I would hope considering how much I practice. Hungry- I am always hungry. It has become a problem I think. I would say one of the most memorable experiences I have had in high school is ordering food at least once a week from patio with my friends who oh so casually stay after school every single day. Insane= 6 AP Exams senior year. End of story. Jubilant- did I say that I was so extremely happy to be done with APs? Well I will say it again, and again, and again. WOO! Knowledgeable- I would hope that I have learned something in all my years of education. Science, Math, Social Studies, English, Music, Spanish…I know things. I am excited to go to college and learn more though. Languid- I just finished my last AP exam this morning and feel completely drained. After finishing this I am going to sleep. Stupid letter X, I can’t think of anything for you. Musical- when I was young I used to draw random notes on my Mom’s staff paper and then make my parents listen as I banged on the piano. I always wondered why they cringed… Nerdy- well I did actually take a slight enjoyment in studying for the SAT. I mean it was neat learning all those new words. Man, I feel the mockery coming! And I am sure everyone has seen those “cool” math team sweatshirts. Obnoxious- well I do play the piccolo…A B flat about 5 lines about the scale can shatter glass. Punctual- this is not so much of a characteristic as it is a goal. I usually just show up places unless I really have to be someone by a certain time. For example, ask me to hang out and I probably will come eventually. However, I come super early to all my band concerts. Go Band! Quiescent- I think that this year I have been over booking myself a little too much. Between applying to a million colleges, the charity show, music…any time I can just relax and do absolutely nothing is greatly valued. I do really love just going to Avalon, finding a rock, and laying down just relaxing. Reasonable- I would like to think that most of the time I am pretty level headed about what I want to accomplish and what it will take to achieve such goals (see letter U for more) Sarcastic- I feel I have to warn people to not take what I say too seriously. I should just wear a shirt around that reads “Listen with Caution”. Trustworthy- above most things, I would say that I am a trustworthy person. Tell me a secret and I’ll not only lock my lips and throw away that key, but I’ll…do something else? I was going to continue with some chemistry related example of melting the key but I used some self-control. Your welcome. Unreasonable- unfortunately, my goals tend to be a little bit unreasonable. Triple Major? I know. [Insert Laughter Here]. Vapid- Not really me, but this is one of the SAT words that I do remember. I remembered it as “flavorless” and I think I said already that I am starving so…connection? Witty- I wish. If I was really witty I would be able to think of another good adjective for this letter. Oh well. Xenial- I think I am pretty hospitable. Well, my cousins housed a German foreign exchange student for six months. We are related. Maybe some of that rubbed off on me. In all honestly, X, really. I am lucky I could think of something that slightly pertained. Yearning- I do love finding the answers to things. I think that it is why I opt to take so many advanced classing. I enjoy the discussions. Zealous- you would agree if you saw me at sporting events. I embarrass my family. I think I just get too competitive. I want my teams to win!
Amicable- I’m a remotely friendly and likeable person, until you get to know me better.
Barista- I make the best Latte and steam the best foam, but Kimm makes the best Frappucino, she’s also “da bom” at whip cream.
Cantankerous- T-here’s a large sum of people in our grade that would find this quality in my character.
Darsh- One of the most frequently used words in my vocabulary.
Eugoogoolizer- “One who speaks at funerals, or did you think I was too stupid to know what a Eugoogaly was?” Best quote.
Friendly- I am really easy to talk to.
Greg loves Riccardo- always and forever.
Hungry- If there was a “Senior Most” Award at Senior Banquet for “Most Obsessed with Food 09’” I would have won by a land slide.
Imaginative- I conjure up some interesting things.
Jovial- Unless otherwise, I tend to lighten up the mood.
Kind- I legitimately volunteer.
Laughing- Most likely, unless I'm talking, I'm laughing.
Marble Mocha Macchiato- My least favorite drink to make at Starbucks.
Nut job- This characteristic is best exemplified in seventh period AP Government, when debating with the majority of my class.
Observant- I, for the most part, am always aware of my environment.
Procrastinator- I find any excuse not to do something for school, including chores.
Quaint- I’m simple, and old-fashion with some aspects of my life.
Robust- I leave a mark.
Spontaneous- Although some of my friends will say otherwise, in most situations, I go with the flow. Sometimes I find myself in bad situations, but their worth the good story.
Traveler- (similar to Vagabond) emphasizes my apt for traveling, and desire to travel when I get older.
Unfocused- I can’t get anything done. I don’t have any learning disability (so I've been told), I just can’t get it done.
Vagabond- Although I’m not nomadic, I’ve traveled a multitude of places, and I intend to travel an immense amount as I get older.
Wanderer- I’m never where I’m suppose to be.
Xylophonic- xylophones and I have a lot in common.
Yerba Matte- is what my diet will contain when I live in Argentina.
Zenglish- Since I’m illiterate, I wouldn’t know the correct spelling of English.
Artistic- I love to draw and make artwork, my favorite thing to crate are portraits. Barista- I make the best frappuccinos at work, and I’m the best with whipped cream, and Greg makes the best lattes. Crazy- I love doing outrageous things that people wouldn’t usually do, and being extreme. Daring- I try to do things that I have never done before, I love trying new things and doing things I never thought I would do. Eccentric- I think of things differently than other people do, and I have many different views. Feeble- I’m not weak physically, but emotionally I am very easily broken down. Gullible- I’m very easy to persuade and I always believe everything I hear Hesitant- I’m very timid Independent- I like to do things on my own, I would rather do something by myself than have to rely on another. Jaded- I am always tired and worn out Klutzy- I am the biggest klutz in the world! I have no center of gravity Lazy- I love to just chill and not do anything sometimes. Musical- It’s my passion. I love everything about music, not a minute of my life goes by that I don’t think of something music related. It’s my life. A: Accepting. I feel I’m very accepting of things that people want to do. I try to live by the motto that: if it’s not affecting me directly, then why judge it.
B: Bratty. I usually won’t start off being bratty, but if pushed to that point, I can be.
C: Creative. I am very creative and always coming up with different ideas for anything I’m doing. Whether it’s on a simple project or on a Leadership event.

Knowledgeable- Hopefully my 13 years of schooling have rendered me knowledgeable in a semi-wide range of subjects. Not on a scholarly level but at least on an above average one.
Liberal- My political views are fairly strongly to the left. I identify as a liberal on the political spectrum.
Mentor- I try to act as a mentor to my younger sister so that she doesn’t end up being the type of person that would cause the administration to lock the bathrooms on the third floor.

Obsessive- I have a decently annoying case of OCD that makes me obsessed with locking doors and hitting light switches. Yeahhh….
Pro-semetic- I have a lot of friends that are Jewish and I love them all and their culture!
Quality – I am a respectable and quality human being!
Realistic- I try to think realistically for the most part so that I do not have excessively unrealistic expectations about things
Sensible- This goes along with realistic. I’m definitely imaginative, but when it comes down to it I don’t try to do anything that I know I won’t be able to pull off.
Tardy – I am often late for the majority of places I am supposed to be. It is a problem I can’t seem to help no matter how I try.
Unique- Technically I guess everyone is unique in someway, so therefore I am unique.
Valuable- I value my life and I’d like to think that others do as well. If no one else, my mom thinks I am valuable too.
Whimsical- At times I can be unusual and surprising. Not always, though.
Xylophone-enthusiast- Not only did I enjoy toy xylophones as a small child, but I still find them to be a charming instrument.
Youthful- I am eighteen years old which is hopefully considered fairly youthful.
Zany- I’m zany!
Amicable: I consider myself a very outgoing and friendly person, and I usually give people the benefit of the doubt before meeting them.
Bizarre: I have what one might consider weird interests, including demography trends in baby name statistics. To an outsider, this could seem bizarre.
Clumsy: I am constantly walking into things, falling down, and dropping things. I’m not exactly an athlete.
Democratic: I’m a fan of democracy and the Democratic Party in general. In fact, I registered as a Democrat before I turned 18.
Enthusiastic!: I’m always interested in future prospects and tend to enter situations with an open mind. I’m constantly talking about how excited I am for an upcoming event.
Friendly: I try to start conversations with people I don’t know when I’m put in uncomfortable situations where everyone’s a stranger.
Groovy: Sometimes I like to channel a 1960s mentality.
Humorous: I like my sense of humor and sometimes can pull out excellent puns.
Involved: The list of activities that I am not involved in is probably shorter than the list of activities that I am involved in. I stay at school for so long that I’m usually one of the first cars in the parking lot in the morning and one of the last ones out.
Jobless: I’m currently unemployed. Anyone hiring?
Knowledgeable: I have a varied range of knowledge that comes in handy during Quiz Bowl Competitions.
Loyal: I try to always be loyal to my friends by keeping the plans I make with them and helping defend them if they’re being challenged.
Mannered: In awkward social situations, I try to be polite and soft-spoken in order to make a good impression.
Non-religious: To some people, religion is important. To me, it isn’t. I was raised in a certain religion and it doesn’t really influence my life at all anymore.
Optimistic: When confronted with a situation, I usually anticipate the best. This can sometimes lead to moderate disappointment, but it’s a healthier attitude than expecting the worst.
Political: I’m a complete politics junkie. I really like following the movements of Congress and the legislators as well as those of the president.
Quixotic: I like to think of myself as quixotic, but I’m not exactly sure how accurate that description would be. Being impulsively romantic would be fun but maybe I’m a little too structured for that.
Relieved: My AP tests are almost over! That is definitely a cause to feel relief.
Scrabble inclined: I am an excellent Scrabble player and often take on the champion of my family, my grandmother. While she almost always beats me, I find it fun to practice.
Tribe member: The mascot for my school next year, the College of William and Mary, is the Tribe. As a student, I am a member of the Tribe.
Upbeat: This goes hand-in-hand with optimism. Rather than dwelling on what’s going bad, I try to focus on what’s going well.
Vocal: I can be pretty outspoken about my thoughts and beliefs. I don’t leave much up to the imagination.
Wacky: When people first meet me, they definitely think my interests are wacky. For example, I can’t name many 18-year-olds that have an affinity for Anderson Cooper.
Xenodochial: This is apparently a synonym for hospitable. Whenever I have guests over, I always offer them food, so I suppose that counts as hospitable.
Young: I am young in the most literal sense of the word. I try to make the most of my youth but sometimes I find myself doing too many “adult” things, like debating tax law or something. Sometimes I have to remind myself to chill out.
Zealous: When I like something, I like it a lot and try to make myself an expert on the subject. IT can be a little overwhelming, but it is how I learn.
A bundle of fun: I would say that I am generally a pretty fun person. I am always up for an adventure!
Boisterous: I’m sure you all know by now that I am very noisy and energetic… I try to be quiet but I really can’t!
Caring: I certainly care for a lot of people

Fragile: Although I appear to be big and tough, I am easily offended by most things. It’s not all smiles all the time.
Girly: I hate sports, mud, and sweat. I am scared of bugs, and love shoes. Hence, I am girly.
Humorous: I find myself to be pretty funny; I like to make people laugh!
Irresistible: I know deep down you all can’t get enough of me!
Jumpy: I am always freaking out and running around about something!
Kings Park hater: I hate Kings Park, and am very happy that I moved to Smithtown!
Lovable: I love to love things, and love to be loved.
Moody: I can go from very happy to very mad in a matter of seconds, so don’t mess with me!
Never gotten detention: I am proud to say throughout my four years of high school, I have never gotten a detention, and am definitely guilty of talking back to teachers multiple times.
Open to new experiences: I am always willing to try new things! I love to make an adventure out of everything!
Polite: I try my hardest to always say my please and thank yous!
Quick-tempered: I tend to overanalyze, and memorizes everything everyone says. I am easily offended by the littlest things. Even though I appear to be happy most of the time, I am known for throwing temper tantrums at home!

Works hard: It is fourth quarter of senior year and as much as I want to stop doing my homework, I can’t! I can’t help but want to do well!

Agreeable—I get along well with others. I go with the flow, because I’m usually happy doing anything.
Benevolent—I like to help people. I volunteer at a hospital. I want a job in the medical field so I can help people even more.
Careful—I always put great care into the things I’m doing (schoolwork, clarinet, etc.), but I feel like in other aspects of life I am sometimes too careful.
Dumb—I’m book smart, but sometimes I lack common sense.
Enthusiastic—I’m very enthusiastic about the things that excite me. I’m always excited for something, which shows through my cheerful and enthusiastic attitude.
Frugal—I’m always poor, so when I go out I always try to spend as little as possible. But luckily I just got a job!
Girly—I like cute clothes, manicures, and makeup. I love to dress up.

Musical—Music is my life. I’m a clarinet player, and most of my extracurricular activities revolve around that. I also started singing this year, and I like to mess around on other instruments like piano and sax.
Optimistic—I always look for some sort of hope, even when I’m feeling pretty down. I think it’s more worth your time to have a positive attitude rather than always being pessimistic.
Punctual—I am always on time for things. I think I got that trait from my mom. I get really anxious if I’m running late for something.

Gluttonous- I love me my food. This is my brain's default. This is where my mind goes when it doesn't need to think about anything else.
Hypocrite- I find that I often hate tendencies in people I see in myself.
Impressionable- I am very affected by both the people around me and my setting. It's something that I don't really like because my own person's edges start to blur, but other times I can call it adaptability and say it helps me keep up with change.
Jacked- That’s a lie. I really wish I had some upper body strength, so I could climb some rock walls, but I guess it was not meant to be.
Katie’s sister’s friend- I have a friend named Amanda Skopkowski, and she has a sister named Katie.
Last-Minute- My parents hate this about me. I’m not quite sure why, but I can’t seem to start anything earlier than the day before it’s due. I hate it about me too, but I really can’t. It’s like an awful disease. I’ll tell myself that it’s okay that I have time, and I’ll get it done later. You’d think I’d learn.
Moody- I’m hot then I’m cold. I’m yes then I’m no. I’m in then I’m out. I’m up and I’m down…
Nostalgic- I’m not sure if you’re allowed to use this word to describe someone, but I am often nostalgic.
Obvious- I can’t lie. When I do, it’s pretty obvious.
Perceptive- I think it’s important to watch the way other people behave, to be aware of how others feel and then act appropriately.
Quirky- I like to think I’m special
Resourceful- I think I got this from my mother. Once, I needed glue for a project, and because it was the night before it was due, and it was pretty late, there was no time to run out and buy some, so my mother made me a paste from cooked rice.
Serendipitous- I'd call myself a pretty ridiculously lucky person, but then I wouldn't be able to use the word serendipitous, and it sounds so pretty.
Thriftless- I kind of spend money extremely irresponsibly. I lose most of it to food and then to clothes.
Understanding- I am able, most of the time, to understand why people do things.
Vittles-loving- Yum. One reference to my awesome love of food is not enough.
Wistful- Especially when I’m in some huge gorgeous house, or watch rich people on T.V. going on crazy shopping sprees, I’m quite wistful of their lifestyles.
Xerox-y- I like to make photocopies of things.
Youthful- I don’t think I’ll ever grow up. I was once asked why, as a senior, do I still act like a freshman, and found myself unable to respond.
Zit-hating- Nobody likes zits.
Adventurous- instead of getting a car for graduation I am going skydiving.
Bored- these types of assignments where I need to think of so many words to describe my self bore me to tears. Really. I wanted to think of all advanced or clever words but now there are only hard letters left and I am starving.
Childish- after AP exams instead of leaving school and going home, my friends and I decided to go to Chemistry, order pizza, and play duck duck goose. Fun game.

Friendly- Although I do love the restaurant…sorry, bad joke. Any way, I do think that if I chose to be, I can be friendly, especially if I feel like someone is being ostracized or treated unfairly.
Good? Great? Sorry Mr. Kirchenko! I remember that was on the list of words to never use, ever. I am desperate though. Ah, I could have used that for my D word. Well, to relate to this whole “great thing”, well I would say I am pretty “good” at the flute. Well, at least I would hope considering how much I practice.
Hungry- I am always hungry. It has become a problem I think. I would say one of the most memorable experiences I have had in high school is ordering food at least once a week from patio with my friends who oh so casually stay after school every single day.
Insane= 6 AP Exams senior year. End of story.
Jubilant- did I say that I was so extremely happy to be done with APs? Well I will say it again, and again, and again. WOO!
Knowledgeable- I would hope that I have learned something in all my years of education. Science, Math, Social Studies, English, Music, Spanish…I know things. I am excited to go to college and learn more though.
Languid- I just finished my last AP exam this morning and feel completely drained. After finishing this I am going to sleep. Stupid letter X, I can’t think of anything for you.
Musical- when I was young I used to draw random notes on my Mom’s staff paper and then make my parents listen as I banged on the piano. I always wondered why they cringed…
Nerdy- well I did actually take a slight enjoyment in studying for the SAT. I mean it was neat learning all those new words. Man, I feel the mockery coming! And I am sure everyone has seen those “cool” math team sweatshirts.
Obnoxious- well I do play the piccolo…A B flat about 5 lines about the scale can shatter glass.
Punctual- this is not so much of a characteristic as it is a goal. I usually just show up places unless I really have to be someone by a certain time. For example, ask me to hang out and I probably will come eventually. However, I come super early to all my band concerts. Go Band!
Quiescent- I think that this year I have been over booking myself a little too much. Between applying to a million colleges, the charity show, music…any time I can just relax and do absolutely nothing is greatly valued. I do really love just going to Avalon, finding a rock, and laying down just relaxing.
Reasonable- I would like to think that most of the time I am pretty level headed about what I want to accomplish and what it will take to achieve such goals (see letter U for more)
Sarcastic- I feel I have to warn people to not take what I say too seriously. I should just wear a shirt around that reads “Listen with Caution”.
Trustworthy- above most things, I would say that I am a trustworthy person. Tell me a secret and I’ll not only lock my lips and throw away that key, but I’ll…do something else? I was going to continue with some chemistry related example of melting the key but I used some self-control. Your welcome.
Unreasonable- unfortunately, my goals tend to be a little bit unreasonable. Triple Major? I know. [Insert Laughter Here].
Vapid- Not really me, but this is one of the SAT words that I do remember. I remembered it as “flavorless” and I think I said already that I am starving so…connection?
Witty- I wish. If I was really witty I would be able to think of another good adjective for this letter. Oh well.
Xenial- I think I am pretty hospitable. Well, my cousins housed a German foreign exchange student for six months. We are related. Maybe some of that rubbed off on me. In all honestly, X, really. I am lucky I could think of something that slightly pertained.
Yearning- I do love finding the answers to things. I think that it is why I opt to take so many advanced classing. I enjoy the discussions.
Zealous- you would agree if you saw me at sporting events. I embarrass my family. I think I just get too competitive. I want my teams to win!
Amicable- I’m a remotely friendly and likeable person, until you get to know me better.
Barista- I make the best Latte and steam the best foam, but Kimm makes the best Frappucino, she’s also “da bom” at whip cream.
Cantankerous- T-here’s a large sum of people in our grade that would find this quality in my character.
Darsh- One of the most frequently used words in my vocabulary.
Eugoogoolizer- “One who speaks at funerals, or did you think I was too stupid to know what a Eugoogaly was?” Best quote.
Friendly- I am really easy to talk to.
Greg loves Riccardo- always and forever.
Hungry- If there was a “Senior Most” Award at Senior Banquet for “Most Obsessed with Food 09’” I would have won by a land slide.
Imaginative- I conjure up some interesting things.
Jovial- Unless otherwise, I tend to lighten up the mood.
Kind- I legitimately volunteer.
Laughing- Most likely, unless I'm talking, I'm laughing.
Marble Mocha Macchiato- My least favorite drink to make at Starbucks.
Nut job- This characteristic is best exemplified in seventh period AP Government, when debating with the majority of my class.
Observant- I, for the most part, am always aware of my environment.
Procrastinator- I find any excuse not to do something for school, including chores.
Quaint- I’m simple, and old-fashion with some aspects of my life.
Robust- I leave a mark.
Spontaneous- Although some of my friends will say otherwise, in most situations, I go with the flow. Sometimes I find myself in bad situations, but their worth the good story.
Traveler- (similar to Vagabond) emphasizes my apt for traveling, and desire to travel when I get older.
Unfocused- I can’t get anything done. I don’t have any learning disability (so I've been told), I just can’t get it done.
Vagabond- Although I’m not nomadic, I’ve traveled a multitude of places, and I intend to travel an immense amount as I get older.
Wanderer- I’m never where I’m suppose to be.

Feeble- I’m not weak physically, but emotionally I am very easily broken down.
